Anganwadi Building – MGNREGS Convergence Work

Project: Construction of Anganwadi Building
Scheme: Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in convergence with the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme. Construction of Anganwadi Centres is an approved convergence activity under MGNREGS to create durable community assets while strengthening early childhood care infrastructure.

Description:

The Anganwadi Building at Ponganpara, Ward No. 11, Kulakkada Grama Panchayat was constructed under the convergence of MGNREGS and ICDS. The project aims to provide a safe, child-friendly, and permanent facility for delivering early childhood education, supplementary nutrition, health services, and other welfare activities for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The convergence model combines employment generation through MGNREGS with the objectives of ICDS to strengthen community infrastructure and improve the quality of Anganwadi services.
